WHERE: COFIA Demonstration Farm, Peta Pakoi Village, Tororo Dist.
WHAT: COFIA Farms’ Agricultural Expo welcomes local community members, agricultural experts, potential partners and others to the Demo Farm, offering smallholder farmers and the broader community in the Eastern Region access to agricultural knowledge, skills, resources, services, and tools.

  • Greenhouse horticulture: sweet peppers, tomatoes

  • See new high-yield, climate-resilient, disease-resistant crop & seed varieties

Demonstrations:

  • Innovations in irrigation, nursery & greenhouse practices

  • Low-cost processing & preservation methods to gain higher returns, open new markets, expand market season, reduce waste & food loss & strengthen resilience, food security & nutrition

  • COFIA Field School Farmers will present skills, garden plots & harvests

Educational Opportunities:

  • Conversational sessions to provide opportunities for small farmers to exchange experiences & engage with experts

  • Posters, photographs & fact sheets with information on crops, technologies & innovations showcased at the Expo.
